The police indicated that the bus was en route from Delhi to Jammu when the incident occurred. Initial investigations suggest that the driver may have dozed off, leading to the bus crashing into the truck from behind.

Authorities confirmed that one passenger lost their life in the accident, while the two injured individuals were taken to the community health center in Mahilpur. After receiving initial treatment, they were discharged. The truck driver fled the scene following the collision, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
